Meet Mrs. Moore

Welcome to our 4th grade classroom! I am so happy you are here! I have been teaching for 21 years, with this being my 13th year at Elon Elementary. I have mostly taught 4th grade with a few years of 3rd and one year of 5th. But, my favorite is 4th grade. I am not originally from North Carolina. I grew up in New Hampshire but moved to Maryland right before my junior year in high school. Once I graduated, I came to North Carolina to go to school at Elon College where I earned a degree in Human Services. I worked for a few years and realized that I really wanted to be a teacher, so I went back to school at UNC Greensboro and earned another degree in Elementary Education. I spent my first eight years teaching in Greensboro and then came to Elon, where I have definitely found my home.

I live in Elon with my two children, Nathan and Courtney. I love spending time with my children and watching them do the things that they love. Nathan will be a senior at Western High and Courtney will be in seventh grade at Western Middle. Nathan is a soccer player and a golfer and Courtney is a gymnast. We love to spend time at the beach and I usually annoy them by taking lots of pictures of them.
