Andrea Cheek

Mrs. Andrea Cheek holds a bachelor of fine arts from Henderson State University, Arkansas. After 12 years as a freelance artist, and seven years as a middle-school art teacher, she decided to undertake teaching children in 2017 here at B. Everett Jordan Elementary.

Cheek taught Art in Arkansas at Garland County Community College, Redfield Middle, Whitehall Middle, and Sheridan Middle. She has exhibited in art galleries across the U.S.; Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, California, and Hawai’i as well as in Tepic, Nay., and Puerto Vallarta, Jal., Mexico, in juried exhibitions and multiple one-woman shows.

Working with children; teaching techniques, methods and Art history, is one of the places she finds hope and promise.

She is married to Mr. Rodney Cheek and they have two children; Pearl (11), and Ruth (1).
