The 2023-2024 academic year marks my twenty-first year in North Carolina public education, and I am excited to share this year with my students at Alamance Virtual School. 

I am a native North Carolinian and graduate of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro where I received bachelor's degrees in English and German. I also hold a master's degree in education, also from UNCG, and am Nationally Board Certified. 

In the past twenty years, I have taught middle and high school English, high school social studies, German, and a few other electives along the way.  My home is a busy place with two elementary-aged kids and husband who is also an English teacher. We love to cook, take long walks and travel whenever we get the opportunity.
