Notes

  • At the beginning of each unit, students will glue a unit overview on the next page in their notebook.

  • Students will take notes in their math notebook by copying down the notes from the board.

  • It is important that students keep track of their notebook and bring it to class each day. It is expected that students are filling in the notes and completing all the practice problems.

  • A completed version of notes will be posted in Canvas if students missed anything in class or were absent so that they can fill in what they missed.

What will a normal day in math look like?

  • For 8th Grade Math, class will start with 10 minutes of Imagine Math. For Math 1, class will start with 10 minutes of an IXL review standard.

  • Then we will take notes on that day's lesson. Students will take notes in a notebook by copying down what I write on the document camera. Some days students will be given guided notes or a graphic organizer to complete.

  • After we have our lesson and have completed notes we will have work time to complete practice problems and any assignments.

  • Most days there will be small group time to work with Mrs. Stewart. This small group time will be targeted at each students current level.
