About Me:

Hi, my name is Alexis Stewart. This is my 7th year teaching math at Southern Middle School. I was born and raised in Wisconsin. I attended Concordia University, where I majored in Elementary Education and Special Education. Then I decided to move to North Carolina to start my education career. In 2019 I married my husband, who also works at SMS. Then in 2020, we had our daughter Lorelei, and in 2022 we had our son Grayson. As a teacher, I believe that every student has the potential to be great, so I set high expectations for all my students. I am really excited about this school year and can't wait to see what it all has in store.
