Megan D. Webb
Spanish  Teacher,  M.A.Ed.,  NBCT
2016 AATSP National Teacher of the Year

Welcome to AVS

My name is Megan Webb and this is my 21st year teaching Spanish. I taught middle school Spanish in Chapel Hill (Smith Middle), Hillsborough (Eno River Academy), and Burlington/Elon (Turrentine & Western Middle) for 20 years. Last year I enjoyed teaching Levels 1 & 2 for Alamance Virtual School. I have lived in North Carolina all my life. I grew up right down the road in Hillsborough, NC. People usually want to know where I learned to love Spanish. Since the age of 8, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. My parents were both teachers and I have lots of aunts and uncles that were teachers as well. It's in my blood! However, the love of Spanish language and culture came very organically when I was an exchange student in the country of Ecuador at 16 years old.

I am an avid sports fan and my favorite teams include Appalachian State football, UNC Tar Heel basketball, and NY Yankees baseball!
Go Mountaineers, Tar Heels, and Yankees!

I am a dog mom and am currently spending a lot of time working with my Saint Berdoodle puppy, Tucker, who I have been told resembles Will Ferrell. Ever since someone told me that, I can't unsee it! What do you think?
Does Tucker look like Will Ferrell?

I love teaching virtually and I am looking forward to another great year!
