About Ms. Jackson-Adams

Ms. Jackson-Adams taught choir and guitar at Eastern Guilford High School for three years and is very excited to be joining the BEJ community as the music director this year!

A native of Greensboro, Ms. Jackson-Adams has been involved in choral activities in the Triad for much of her life. She sang for the Greensboro Youth Chorus for several years and studied voice at Weaver Academy where she graduated in 2008. While at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro pursuing a Bachelor of Music Education, she studied voice under Dr. Nancy Walker and performed in such ensembles as Schola Cantorum, Chorale, the Josquin des Prez Chamber Ensemble, and the Eastern Music Festival Choir.

Ms. Jackson-Adams is a passionate music educator. She believes that all children should have the opportunity to be involved in music because music encourages collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, play, multicultural sensitivity, self-expression, and self-discipline. She is devoted to encouraging each child to develop as a “tuneful,” “beatful,” and “artful” individuals who strive to be the best version of themselves.

Outside of school, Ms. Jackson-Adams currently enjoys singing with Bel Canto Company. Her other interests include playing piano and ukulele, spending time with her two fur babies, hiking, yoga, and enjoying the company of family and friends.

“The true beauty of music is that it connects people. It carries a message, and we, the musicians, are the messengers.” -Roy Ayers
