Purpose/mission: Career College is a two-year integrative post-secondary certificate program. This entry-level program provides a foundation for transitioning into a career or additional coursework. The students further develop reading, math, and computer skills along with participation in a hands-on practicum experience within a specific program of study.
Population served: Students with Disabilities. We strongly encourage students with intellectual or developmental disabilities to apply.

Animal Care Assistant
Automotive Assistant
Health & Public Services Assistant (Home Health Aide)
Greenhouse/Nursery Assistant
Academic & Career Readiness (ACR):
Academic Skills – Math, Reading, Writing
Careers -Employability skills
Hands-on experience:
Automotive Assistant students use ACC’s automotive facilities.
Animal Care Assistant students use the Animal Care facility
Health & Public Services Assistant students use ACC’s Nurse Aide facilities.
Greenhouse/Nursery Assistant students will use ACC’s Horticulture facilities.
Usage of community and off site locations are suspended due to COVID 19.
Costs/requirements to participate:
Career College cost $740.00 ($369 per year). Tuition is due before classes start.
Career College has an application process. The application packet is located the Career College webpage located on the College’s website (www.alamancecc.edu) under Services for Students and then Disability Services.
Applicants need to be at a 3rd grade reading level.
