Organization name: The North Carolina Assistive Technology Program (NCATP)
Purpose/mission: The North Carolina Assistive Technology Program (NCATP) is a state and federally funded program that provides assistive technology services statewide to people of all ages and abilities. NCATP leads North Carolina's efforts to carry out the federal Assistive Technology Act of 2004 by providing device demonstration, short-term device loans, and reutilization of assistive technology. We promote independence for people with disabilities through access to technology.

The NCRAMMP Project, funded by the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, loans portable ramps to people with mobility difficulties. If you are needing a ramp to make the transition from a medical facility to your home and community or need a ramp to access temporary housing after an emergency, our short-term ramp loans can help you overcome physical obstacles to mobility while we work with you to plan long-term accessibility solutions.
Costs/requirements to participate:
Assistive Technology Assessments:$575.00
An assessment includes an in-depth analysis to assist a person with a disability in achieving an identified task or goal.
Specialized Consultative Services (T2025) is based on authorization from (MCO)
Individual Trainings: $125.00 per hour.
Training includes technical skill building in the use of assistive technology devices, equipment or software packages.
Consultations: $125.00 per hour.
NCATP staff provides assistive technology expertise to individuals or organizations for specific needs identified by the requesting party.
Group Trainings: $500.00 (4 hours), $900.00 (8 hours)
NCATP conducts specialized presentations, seminars or workshops regarding assistive technology to meet an organization's needs.
Travel: $50.00 per hour
NCATP charges travel time to conduct assessments, consultations, and training in the field.
