Purpose/mission: Creating opportunities for personal and professional growth for persons with disabilities and other barriers
Population served: Individuals with disabilities aged 14+
Services/programs/resources offered:
Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS): Students 14-21 with a documented disability participate in activities and lessons to prepare them for work and/or post-secondary education
Project SEARCH: An intensive employment training program for students with significant disabilities in their last year of high school
Day Supports: Serves individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities. Day Supports assist with the acquisition, retention, and improvement of independence in areas such as self-help, socialization, adaptive, and pre-vocational skills.
Supported Employment Services: Community vocational service for people with a disability who want to work independently within their community. Training is offered to help an individual prepare for competitive employment. Individual needs are addressed and may include self-determination, decision making, resume completion, dress and appearance, interview skills and work habits. Job development helps each person find a job that is matched to their abilities and interests. On the job training is also provided. Long term vocational support services are then available to maintain contact with both the employee and the employer to help ensure an ongoing successful working relationship.
