AB ESports Team Competes AT nationals

Congratulation to the AB Esports Team! The team competed in the NASEF North American Scholastic Esports Federation Finals on June 7th. Nicely done AB Esports and Coach Martin!

Youth in Philanthropy’s Elementary School Family Virtual Dance

On Friday night, May 29th, the members of Youth in Philanthropy hosted a virtual webinar dance p;arty for the elementary schools. They were the DJ’s for the evening and they taught some dance moves, hosted a trivia contest, had a virtual slide show, and so much more! The dance was a free event and they were accepting donations so that YIP, in turn, can help support local non-profit organizations. Thank you YIP!

Acton Boxborough Speech and Debate

Congratulations to AB Speech and Debate! In a historic event, the first ever live online Speech and Debate State Championship in the country, AB students brought their skills and talents to this new format for competition. Sixty one members of the team competed in one or more events, six seniors volunteered to judge novice divisions of Debate and seventeen alumni from the classes of 2004 -2019 volunteered to judge rounds in their former event areas. A special thanks goes out to Coach Sue Hennessey!

The team was recognized by the league in Sweepstakes: 8th place in Speech and, for the first time in team history, 1st place in Debate.

Out of the Darkness Campus Walk

Acton-Boxborough hosted its fourth annual Out of the Darkness suicide awareness and prevention walk on Saturday, May 16th. Due to COVID 19 the walk took place VIRTUALLY and included an opening ceremony on ZOOM. The event raised over $10,000 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention helping to increase awareness about the struggles of depression and anxiety, and bring hope to those who may need it. Thank you to everyone who took part!

ABRHS Colonial Convoy

The ABRHS faculty and staff were so excited to see our students during the ABRHS Colonial Convoy on Saturday, May 2nd!


Congratulations to the to AB HOSA! They placed tops in the State Leadership Conference. They are now eligible to represent Massachusetts in the HOSA National Conference which will be conducted virtually in June. The place in the following categories:

  • 1st in Cultural Diversities and Disparities in Healthcare
  • 3rd in Medical Terminology
  • 1st in Pharmacology
  • 3rd in Pharmacology
  • 2nd in Medical Math
  • 1st in Pathophysiology
  • 3rd in Pathophysiology
