The NYC Summit on Health & Public Safety
Senior leaders across healthcare, community organizations, technology, education, housing, government and philanthropy, alongside city leadership and national partners, convene to align on scalable, cross-sector solutions that strengthen community well-being.
The Summit features two sessions: a morning program on community vitality and public safety, followed by an afternoon session focused on how these sectors work together to improve health and safety outcomes.
This summit is rooted in evidence-informed practice, community leadership and cross-sector collaboration. The goal is not to rehash problems, but to elevate effective approaches, strengthen relationships and align around scalable solutions that improve safety and health together.
Health and public safety are inseparable. Communities experience better health and safety not only through policing or enforcement, but through access to affordable care, stability, trust and responsive systems.
The NYC Summit on Health & Public Safety creates space for data to meet lived experience, policy to meet practice and local leadership and the opportunity to connect with national vision.
Attendees will collaboratively participate in creating a strategic action plan, and leave with a clearer understanding of what works, stronger cross-sector relationships and a shared commitment to building safer, healthier, and more just communities.

The NYC Summit on Health & Public Safety is a one-day event designed to advance practical, evidence-informed approaches to health and public safety outcomes that result when prevention, access, and stability are strong.
The Summit brings together local and national leaders across public safety, healthcare, technology, education, housing, philanthropy, government and community to spotlight what’s working, to showcase replicable models, and align around where systems must evolve. It creates space for candid dialogue, shared learning, and cross-sector problem solving that connects policy, practice and investment.
This gathering does not replace existing public safety, health or violence prevention efforts. It strengthens them by building alignment across sectors and elevating community-driven solutions—supported by data, policy leadership, and sustained investment to improve health and safety together.
The NYC Summit on Health & Public Safety is not a passive conference, it is a working collaborative session. Participants are invited to actively contribute their insight, experience and leadership.
Together, Participants Will Help Build:
● A shared understanding of how health, public safety and community well-being intersect
● Cross-sector relationships that extend beyond the Summit
● A strategic action framework outlining priorities, opportunities and next steps
● Practical recommendations that can be advanced locally, regionally and nationally
● Momentum for continued collaboration, learning and collective impact
The Path Forward
The day will conclude with a relaxed networking reception, offering participants the opportunity to connect, reflect and continue conversations sparked throughout the Summit.
This closing gathering is designed to strengthen relationships, encourage cross-sector connections and set the stage for ongoing collaboration beyond the day.
The ideas, insights, and connections generated during the Summit will inform a post-Summit Strategic Action Plan, serving as a roadmap for ongoing partnership.
