FOCUS

• Focuses on training students to respond to emergency situations, namely medical emergencies and fire-based emergencies.

• Students may learn how to do the following:

  1. prevent emergencies,

  2. respond appropriately and in accordance with rules and regulations during crises, and

  3. investigate and delineate the source of the emergency.

NOTE THAT STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR DUAL CREDIT TUITION AND OTHER COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE FIREFIGHTER/EMT COURSES. COSTS MIGHT INCLUDE SUCH THINGS AS UNIFORM AND EQUIPMENT FEES. STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE SPECIFIC PROCEDURES TO MEET PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS. STUDENTS WHO COMPLETE THE FAFSA MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR SOME FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR TUITION.
