This is a college level course taken the fourth year of language study. It is designed to prepare students to communicate proficiently in the language while also giving them an overall grasp of the cultures across a variety of topics. Students are provided with the opportunity to demonstrate their proficiency in the three modes of communication: interpersonal, presentation, and interpretive.Students who enroll in this course should have a good command of grammar and competence in writing, reading, listening and speaking.
This course is designed to strengthen the student’s proficiency. Grammatical structures introduced in the first two years are reviewed, and new structures are introduced through appropriate aural-oral activities. Emphasis is placed on increasing the student’s active vocabulary, the refinement of the student’s comprehension and communicative ability, reading, and writing. Culture and customs are expanded through the introduction of literature, history, and fine arts.This course is conducted in the target language.
