Chemistry is the study of the composition, structure and inter- action of matter, and the energy involved in these relationships. Students use algebra skills in the interpretation of the basic concepts and processes of chemical reactions. Emphasis isplaced on learning theory through the use of the laboratory, text assignments, and lecture-discussion sessions of real life applications.

Physics is a one-year course that surveys the major areas of physics intended to give college bound students the necessary edge for the physics and engineering courses they will be taking.
