Course Overview
Higher dance is a course made up of three sections, question paper, choreography and performance. It allows the pupil to act creatively in choreographing their own piece for another group of students as well as pick their two strongest dance styles to perform as part of their one-off performance. We explore most dance styles, such as Jazz, contemporary/lyrical, ballet, Hip-hop and Highland. In Higher dance we dive deeper into the history of dance, we analyse famous choreography pieces and learn how to improve our technical and performance skills.
