Learning and Teaching Approaches
Lessons are varied and will include many different approaches to learning and teaching such as group work, class discussions, completing tutorials, demonstrations, presentations, internet research and working individually.
Homework
Learners will have research tasks to complete and, with other courses, will be expected to catch-up on work missed through absence. Access to the department at lunchtimes and during study periods will help to facilitate this.
Assessment Approaches
Some assessment tasks are written, some are achieved by collecting evidence from classwork and some are practical. The three units are assessed during class time. Each must be successfully achieved in order to achieve the level 4 or level 5 course award.
