What will I learn?
Wider Achievement uses links from many subjects across the curriculum to learn in new and different ways.
Pupils will learn about the importance of resilience by completing a mile run every term. They will work on developing teamwork and problem solving skills through various tasks, such as building a raft.
The second half of the year is designated to our YPI project where we look to answer the driving question, "How can I use my oracy skills to convince an audience to donate £3000 to a charity which will make a difference in my local community?”. Through this project, S2’s will have the time to work collaboratively within a group developing their SCRIPT skills and will be invited to present to other members of the class in the hope that they progress to the grand final where they can win the £3000.
What skills will I develop?
Wider Achievement is based around Bucksburn Academy’s “SCRIPT for Success” skills: Self-management; Communication; Resilience; ICT and Digital literacy; Problem Solving and Teamwork.
How will I know I am progressing?

You will have a success criteria of what a good finished project looks like.
What type of homework will I get?
