What will I learn?
In S2, we begin to study and develop skills in the following areas; Practical Woodworking skills, Graphic Communication, Design & Manufacture and Engineering Science.

Subject Specific
Isometric and Orthographic sketching, practical woodworking skills in the workshop, Health and Safety, Adobe InDesign, Autodesk Inventor, spatial awareness and general fine motor skills.
SCRIPT Skills
Self-Management, Communication, Resilience, ICT and Digital Literacy, Problem Solving, Teamwork
How will I know I am progressing?
The course is made up of skill based learning giving all pupils an experience, then creating challenge by applying these skills in a further context. Pupils will be given a variety of support to help access the tasks, with a focus on becoming more independent as their experience grows.
Pupils will be given resources and feedback on tasks via Google Classroom. Pupils will be given continuous verbal feedback to aid progress and encourage them to reflect on their personal achievements, as well as areas to focus on improvement.
What type of homework will I get?
Pupils are encouraged to continue to hone their drawing skills at home and reflect on the work completed in class.
There will be opportunities to develop their research skills in the course. The workshop and classroom can be available for those needing to complete work on request.
