What will I learn?

In S1, we begin to study and develop skills in the following areas:

• Computer Systems and Networks

• Databases

• Graphics

• Internet safety

• Programming

What skills will I develop?

Subject Specific 

IT & Digital Literacy, Database Design, Web Design, Coding and Programming, Internet Safety, Computer Graphics.

SCRIPT Skills

Self-Management, Communication, Resilience, ICT and Digital Literacy, Problem Solving, Teamwork

How will I know I am progressing?

Evidence tasks completed during different stages of each topic to share any areas for development.  Targeted tasks will be marked and given written feedback through Google Classroom.  Verbal feedback will be provided by the class teacher on a regular basis throughout working through tasks in class. 

What type of homework will I get?

You may be asked to finish off any incomplete tasks from class at home.  If you are absent, all activities and tasks are posted on Google Classroom and are available to complete at home.  Any problems with accessing any software, computers are available to be used during breaks, lunchtimes, and after school to catch up with any work missed.  Just let your teacher know you are coming in!
