Mr. Dennis Brunzell

Counselor for Students A-Dh (10th-12th)

Dennis Brunzell comes from a family of public educators. His father was a secondary and middle school principal and his mother was also a school counselor. His career began as an Elementary Drama Teacher in Ypsilanti Public Schools while he earned his counseling certification from Eastern Michigan University. For eight years he worked as a counselor in Ypsilanti until joining the Skyline team in the 2015-16 School year.

Mr. Brunzell is passionate about helping students successfully navigate the high school experience. He is eager to work with students with academic, career, or mental health questions. He enjoys running groups, mentoring our Peer 2 Peer Depression / Anxiety Awareness Group, and serving on the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports Committee. Mr. Brunzell can be heard most Friday mornings as the Voice of the Eagle Elite Program.
