Join us at an Informational Science Expo Dessert Potluck on November 18 from 6:30-7:30 in the Forsythe cafeteria.

Students set up projects on March 13 (Note: Completed projects are due in class by March 9)

March 14-Expo is closed for judging of student projects.

Science Expo U of M Team Information

Who: Association for Women in Science at University of MIchigan is a group with the goal of promoting science diversity and inclusion. The Young Scientists’ Expo is an after-school care mentoring program where UM doctoral students are going to help build science projects with Forsythe Middle School students.

When: UM science mentors will be visiting during the following dates, from 3:15-4:30 p.m.

Week 1: January 13 and 16, 2020

Week 2: January 27 and 30, 2020

Week 3: February 10 and 13, 2020

Week 4: February 24 and 27, 2020

Week 5: February 25 through March 1, 2020

Where: Mrs. Snapke's room-513

What: Participants will have the chance to communicate with UM scientists and get help planning, building, and executing a science project (along with a tri-fold poster). Mentors will help get materials, plan, and interpret any results or finding and help make the poster presentation. We will also have short science demos in the beginning of every session!
