Grades and Feedback in Canvas help you track your progress and understand how you’re doing in your courses.
🔑 Key tools you’ll see on this page include course grades, individual assignment scores, and teacher feedback, such as written comments and rubrics, to help you assess your work and improve moving forward.

The course grade screen will list all your current assignments, the points your earned, the points possible, and any comments your teacher left. To read a comment, select the speech bubble icon at the end of the row. Select a specific assignment to open the submission screen. If the assignment was submitted to Canvas, the submission screen will show your document or quiz and any feedback your teacher left. You can use the menu at the top of the grades screen to see assignments and grades from a different quarter, select the apply button after making a selection.
Viewing Assignment Comments in Canvas helps you check for feedback on your work. If your teacher has shared comments, you can find them on the Grades page or by opening the assignment and viewing Submission Details. Comments are often shown in the assignment sidebar.
Viewing Rubric Results in Canvas helps you understand how your work was scored. If your teacher used a rubric, you can view your rubric results on the Grades page. You may also see comments left on the rubric to help explain your score.
