Quarterfield Elementary School is a Community School! Community Schools were created and funded by the Blueprint for Maryland's Future to create partnerships with teachers, families, and community members to support and enhance every part of a student's life--both inside and outside the classroom. Community Schools offer programs that allow partners to focus on the whole child so that all students--no matter how they show up at school--are empowered to BELONG, GROW, and SUCCEED.
In our first year, we are tilling the ground in order to plant seeds, nurture and water our students so they can grow into who they are intended to be and do so with success. Below you will find the process for the first year as a community school:
