Graduation Rehearsal has been changed to 11:00 - 1:00 on Wednesday, May 25th.
This site was created to help students and parents keep up to date with events related to the CHS Class of 2022. We will update with new information as it becomes available and hope this site makes the whole process a little easier.

Reminder for all Class of 2022 students: Graduating students who violate AACPS Board Policy JCC or JCC-RAC on possession, consumption, and distribution of alcoholic beverages, controlled dangerous substances, counterfeit controlled dangerous substances, noncontrolled substances, or other intoxicants as specified “last four weeks” provision as defined by the Annotated Code of Maryland at any time AFTER MONDAY, APRIL 25, 2022 and prior to the last scheduled day for graduating students, or during the time between the last scheduled day and the graduation ceremony, whether the activity takes place on school buses, within a school building or upon any school property, including private clubs, businesses, or commercial establishments, or during any school, school-related or Board of Education sponsored activity, shall be prohibited from participation in ALL senior activities, including proms, award ceremonies, and graduation ceremonies. Additionally, no student will be able to purchase prom tickets or receive graduation tickets if they have any obligations on their student account. This includes textbooks, cafeteria debts, senior dues, and parking tickets. Please see Ms. Katona or Ms. Owens for Senior Due payments or questions, please see our main office staff for any other student obligations.

May 09 - May 20, 2022: PROM TICKET SALES! Outside of the cafeteria during lunches and in rooms 209 and 211 during ROAR. $65 per person and non-CHS guest forms (available in the main office) along with a photocopy of your guests ID must be turned in when you purchase tickets if you are bringing a guest that does NOT currently attend CHS. Anyone who has not paid class dues or has other obligations will not be permitted to purchase prom tickets.
May 23, 2022: Senior Scholar Awards (6:00 PM)
May 25, 2022: Graduation Rehearsal (caps, gowns, and graduation tickets will be distributed at this time). 11:00-1:00 in the gymnasium. Attendance is mandatory to participate in the graduation ceremony and lunch will be provided by Angels.
May 26, 2022: Prom! 7:00-11:00 PM, Kurtz's Beach.
June 1, 2022: Senior Athletic Spotlight Night. 6:00pm-10:00pm at Kurtz's Beach. Seniors are FREE, but family is $35/person.
June 7, 2022: Graduation! 1:30 PM, Maryland Live. (Tickets will be distributed at graduation rehearsal. Every family gets 8 tickets.)
We would like to order a senior banner; how do we do that?
Look in the section above and there is a button to order senior banners. They will be delivered directly to the school and hung in the cafeteria lobby. They will be returned after the senior's last day.
When will my student receive their cap and gown?
Caps and gowns will be distributed at the MANDATORY graduation rehearsal on May 25th, in the gymnasium.
We ordered announcements from Jostens but have not received them. Where can we get them?
All announcements, etc. were delivered to the school and any that have not yet been picked up are in the main office.
How many graduation tickets will we get and when will we get them?
Each family receives 8 graduation tickets and they will be distributed at graduation practice AS LONG AS your student does NOT have any financial obligations. Mrs. Hawkins (phawkins@aacps.org) has the complete obligation list. Ms. Katona and Mrs. Owens do not have that information at this point.
When do prom tickets go on sale and how much are they?
Prom tickets are $65 each and go on sale starting Monday, May 9th during lunches (outside the cafeteria ) and ROAR (room 209 or room 211). Students cannot purchase a prom ticket if they have any financial obligations.
What if my student's date does not attend CHS?
Any non-CHS guests must have the appropriate form (in the main office) filled out with all required information and signatures, AND a copy of their photo ID before they will be sold a ticket. All prom guests (CHS and non-CHS) should bring a photo ID to the prom.
We forgot to order our cap and gown; is it too late?
It may not be too late (as of 05/03), but you will have to call Jostens directly at 1-800-567-8367 to order over the phone.
How do I know if my student has a financial obligation?
Mrs Hawkins (phawkins@aacps.org) has that information as of right now. We will also have that information at the ticket table when selling tickets.
I don't know if we've paid our class dues. How can we find out?
You can contact Ms. Katona or Mrs. Owens to see if you've paid dues (email addresses are below). We will also have a list at the prom ticket sales table.
How do we pay class dues?
You can pay online by using the link in the section above, or they can be paid to Ms. Katona or Mrs. Owens via check (not dated), cash, or money order.
