From the Camp Efraim Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/campefraimphilippines/info
The purpose of this fundraiser is to provide relief efforts towards the Camp Efraim Retreat Center and Church as well as the surrounding community in the Iloilo area of the Philippines. This area was severely affected by Typhoon Haiyan.

The results on the residents of the town was devastating. All 40 families who are members of the church are now homeless. Their houses made of light material were totally destroyed. They are in desperate need of the most basic food, clothing and shelter.

We realize that almost all Filipinos here in America have families and loved ones who are affected by this typhoon. Those should definitely take priority in our relief efforts.

We are also aware that there are hundreds of humanitarian agencies providing relief to the teeming masses of needy Filipinos. We do not discourage you from giving to them. But the tragic fact of the matter is that our donations, noble and worthy as they are, will only be a drop in the bucket. We will never know the specific persons who will be touched by our giving.

We offer you an alternative to your generosity. TheWell Church and LifeBridge Church will accept your tax deductible donations for Camp Efraim Church and Retreat.100% of your donation will go directly to the camp and to these families. No overhead expenses will be involved.

We thank you for donation, big or small, it is one step closer to recovery.
God Bless!

Gawad Kalinga

Gawad Kalinga is packing and distributing food packs containing a combination of rice, canned goods and water. Each food pack costs Php200 ($5) and is good for 4-6 meals for a family of 5. They are targeting 50,000 food packs given the magnitude of the need.

As of November 13, because of your generosity, 18,500 food packs are being repacked and distributed in hard-hit areas like parts of Iloilo, North Negros, Ormoc and Cebu. Despite challenges on logistics and weather, Team GK continues to push and cross the limits. Help us bring concrete hope to our fellowmen in their moment of greatest need.
