Zeeland kicked off the OK Green dual meet season with a win over Hamilton. The boys stepped up to several new challenges, and found themselves racing in uncomfortable scenarios. Despite the adversity, several stood out. Justin Meyer had a great race in the 200 free, Evan Potter raced hard to accomplish his goal in the 500 free, and Ben Thomas won a well fought 100 fly. Also performing well in the 100 fly was Jacob Pollack, posting a personal best time.
The boys continue the title defense next week against Byron Center.

Zeeland swam past top 10 Rockford on Tuesday night, taking 10 of 12 events. Ben Thomas and Jonathan Kollen got the boys started on the right foot with two great medley anchors. Justin Michael and Isaac Inman each posted a solid 200 Free. Jack O'Neill posted a best time in both the 50 Free and 100 Free. Philip DeJonge posted a tremendous 200 Free anchor. Jon Michael Hoeve dropped even more time in his 400 Free relay leg.
The highlights of the night, however, come from Austin Mills (100 Fly/100 Back) and Connor Robertson (200 IM/100 Breast). Their dual wins came accompanied by unprecedentedly fast times for early January.
Saturday marks the annual Rock Kilgore Invite in Plymouth - a great opportunity to race against adversity!
