Trunk or Treat: October 13th , 4:00-7:00 PM--  Make your way to the back field for an evening of fun!  Trick or Treat from trunk to trunk!  Zion’s Annual Chili Cook Off - $ 5 to taste and cast your vote.  Barbecue—all cash donations will support the 7th and 8th grade Washington D.C. trip.  Costume Contest (not scary).  Contact Lori Knapp lknapp@zionanaheim.org or 714-535-1172 for questions.

Reformation Sunday:  Join us as we Celebrate Reformation 501—One Church, One Service, One Zion.  5th grade will be singing in church @ 10:00 A.M. on Sunday, October 28th.


 


Literature—We will continue to read “Two Years Before the Mast” by


Richard Dana in class each day.  Please check your child’s assignment planner for when the next quiz will be.  When the quiz is announced they can use their class notes and / or book to help them study. J 


 


Pilgrim Trip:  We have been preparing in class for our overnight field trip to the Pilgrim which will take place October 25th-26th.  I will be sending home a medical release and permission slip. Please return these forms back ASAP!  I will also be sending an overview of the trip.  This packet you will need to review with your child and I expect you to take multiple days to review the material.  In regards to the packet much of the packet we have covered in class, but please be adviced we still have a few practice sessions with Mr. Drevlow before our trip.  If you have any questions about the trip please do not hesitate to ask me.
