About Us

YGL-Bethesda (YGL-B) brings together young government professionals and leaders in the DC metropolitan area committed to public service. We aim to strengthen and encourage that commitment through professional development, social engagement, building partnerships within the local community, and philanthropic opportunities. YGL-B serves as a forum for public servants to connect with each other, collaborate on meaningful projects, and have fun with their colleagues across government.

Beyond our commitment to public service, we are committed to developing those who lead it! YGL-B values our members and their service of the American people through their government and philanthropic work. We recognize the importance of recruiting and retaining enthusiastic, talented people in the government, and we see YGL-B as a means to achieve that objective.

YGL-Bethesda is a member-driven organization.  All of our ideas and events are developed by members who see a need and want to fulfill that need. Our executive board exists primarily to support these member-driven initiatives.
