Build a Home with Habitat for Humanity

YGL is excited to partner with CDC Young Professionals Network to work on a Habitat for Humanity build!

As a part of our ongoing partnership with Habitat For Humanity – DeKalb, Inc., we will participate on a home build with them on October 21st

When: Saturday, October 21, 2017, 9:00am –2:00pm (Lunch will be provided!)
Where: Home build address will be made available upon registration. All builds occur with the county limits of DeKalb County.
Park: There is street parking in the neighborhood we will be working in.
Wear: Closed-toed shoes must be worn. We will be working outside so please wear clothing you won’t mind getting dirty. Don’t forget sunscreen and bug spray!

Community Garden Project
August 27, 2016, 9am – 12 noon

This month we are focused on giving back and look forward to a great time at the Atlanta Community Food Bank.  All are welcome at age 8 and up!

About the Community Gardens:  Community gardens act as a powerful tool for social change by providing neighborhoods with fresh vegetables, beautiful land a place to meet and work towards positive goals. Volunteers help with weeding, seeding, planting, tilling, cleaning, clearing, and any other activity that can possibly take place in a garden. ACFB provides snacks and water. All volunteers should dress comfortably and must wear closed toe, sturdy shoes.

Below please find the link to register along with instructions on the registration process.  This code must be used to register for the shift.  Also, please be sure to update your personal profile in CERVIS (the ACFB Volunteer Registration Software) if needed.
