How to Forward my Other Email to My Gmail or Google-powered Account

A Step by Step Guide

This tutorial works for accounts on Gmail or email that was created using Google Apps.

Let's assume you want to forward all your other emails to your Gmail account. 

1.  Log-in the other account you want to forward.

2.  Click on "Settings", 


and go to the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.

3. Choose "Forward incoming mail to" and enter your Gmail address in the box.

Click on "Enable IMAP*" and then click on "Save Settings". Your email from yourname@yourdomain.com will be automatically forwarded to your Gmail account.

*Enable IMAP - allows you to check your mail in multiple devices (PC, laptop or your mobile phone). To learn more about IMAP go here.

FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO BE ABLE TO REPLY USING yourname@yourdomain.com IN YOUR GMAIL ACCOUNT.

1. Now log-in to your Gmail account. Click on "Settings".


2. Go to the "Accounts" tab. Click on "Add another email account".


3. Enter the email account you want to add. Click on "Next Step"


4. Another pop-up will open, click on "Send Verification". Enter the verification code (will be sent to your other email or click on the link sent in your email). This will allow you to reply to an incoming mail using the other email address (will appear in the "To:" field as a drop-down).

To get mail from other email addresses, add it by clicking on "Add a Mail Account" under the "Accounts" tab.
