Check out these Great SUMMER READING programs!
So you can keep reading ALL SUMMER LONG!!!

Every Hero Has A Story!
Sign up begins May 25 at the library.
Reading programs will be all summer long, usually on Tuesday & Thursday. Read 100 minutes each week to get your name entered for prizes.

Log in your reading minutes to the Scholastic site and your child will be able to participate in a World Record challenge as well as earn digital prizes!
This program runs May 4 - Sept 4, 2014

This program starts June 22
Children ages 4 – 17 can participate in this fun program. First, you will want to find the reading requirements and even review the suggested reading lists. Then, print out a log for your child’s age group. You will determine the goal which can be to read for a select number of minutes or number of pages on a daily basis. As your child reaches his/her goal, the log is updated. At the end of 40 days, Once they have completed the log, your will submit the completion form and mail it in (prior to August 19, 2014). Prizes are awarded for completing the program while supplies last.

This year the Barnes and Noble summer reading program, Imagination's Destination, gives out a free book to each child who reads 8 books over the summer.
There are many free books to choose from and there's something for every kid in grades 1-6.
This summer reading program runs May 19- September 2.

(Closest Chuck E Cheese is in Lincoln)
Chuck E. Cheese has a summer reading program where kids can earn free 10 Chuck E. Cheese tokens for reading each day for 2 weeks.
This summer reading program goes on all year.

Sylvan's Book Adventure Reading Program
Sylvan's reading program called Book Adventure encourages children to read books and then take online quizzes over the books to earn points.
These points can then be redeemed for prizes like books, magazine subscriptions, tattoos, candy, CD's, and games.
This summer reading program is ongoing, all year around.

Pottery Barn Kids Summer Reading Challenge

(Closest Pottery Barn is in Omaha at 120 Regency Parkway)

The Pottery Barn Kids Summer Reading Challenge challenges kids to complete one of their reading lists.

Kids who complete the reading lists can go into their local Pottery Barn Kids to get a free book.
This summer reading program runs May 15 - July 17.

Half Price Books Summer Reading Program
(Closest location is in Omaha at 12355 West Center Road)
Half Price Books gives out free gift cards to kids who read books this summer.
When kids read for 300 minutes during both June and July, they'll get a free $5 gift card per month to Half Price Books. One lucky kid in each age group and store will get a $20 gift card.
This summer reading program runs June 1 - July 31.

(Closest location is in Omaha at 12220 K Plaza)
Books-a-Million gives out a free Percy Jackson 10th anniversary Camp Half-Blood tote bag.
Kids must read 4 of the 75+ qualifying books, fill out a journal, and take it into a Books-a-Million store.
