About YDM LGBT Caucus

The Young Democrats of Maryland Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Caucus recognizes the strength of America's diverse citizenry with respect to sexual orientation. Furthermore, we recognize the professional, civic, and political contributions of LGBT persons toward the betterment of our state, and our nation.

The modern LGBT civil right's movement could not have started without the aid of the rights, securities, and liberties fought for and gained by the Women's Movement and Civil Rights events of the 1960s. In that spirit, we welcome any and all, regardless of what your gender identity is or where you lie on the Kinsey Scale in a call to fight for and support for equal rights for one and all.
