Operation Recognition

American Flag
The Yolo County Office of Education is implementing Operation Recognition for veterans and interned Americans during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, who were unable to receive their High School Diplomas. Senate Bill 1517, allows County Offices of Education to grant High School Diplomas to the many men and women who served our country by leaving their high schools early or who may have been interned in the United States by order of the federal government during World War II. Since a high school diploma is and always has been a symbol of accomplishment, we are honored to have a ceremony to retroactively award these individuals deserving of their Diplomas. Graduation ceremonies occur every November (provided there are diploma recipients), at the American Legion Yolo Post 77 located at 523 Bush Street, Woodland, CA 95695.
