Our role as the Yarmouth High School Social Work Team is to provide emotional, social, and mental health support for students in grades 9-12. Working with both individuals and groups, we help guide students on issues such as self-esteem, peer relationships, decision making, substance use, conflict resolution, coping skills and stress management. In coordinating with teachers, administration and parents, our goal in working with the student is to decrease emotional and/ or behavioral obstacles that may occur during the academic school day and to assist with connecting individuals and families to out of school support, if needed. We can provide community resources, coordination of support systems, and parental/family support.
There are many ways that we connect with students, including student referral, parental referral, and faculty referral.
Please contact the Yarmouth High School Social Work Team if you would like more information on how we can support you and your family.
