School Library Month

April - School Library Month
School Library Month is the American Association of School Librarians' celebration of school librarians and their programs. This year's theme is Because School Libraries Empower Students.  This year students have been empowered in the media center through lessons such as CSI (Character Setting Investigation), Speed Booking, Poetry Slam and many other lessons that have been taught with the classroom teachers.  Students have also been inspired through projects that have been completed in the Design Lab such as the Journey Through the Heart project using our Makey Makeys, several book projects, and Advanced Math students designed their dream bedroom to scale.  Do you want to help our the media center?  You can purchase items for our Design Lab through our Amazon Wish List ( make a donation to the library so more books can be purchased for the students.  Happy School Library Month!
