Vincent Grunwald vychází ze silně komunitního berlínského graffiti a post-graffiti prostředí a obecně se ve své tvorbě zabývá vztahem mezi textem a obrazem. Bezprostředně zkoumá narativy týkající se různých vrstev, na nichž je společnost organizována. Morfuje kódy státních a soukromých institucí, tvary identity ve státních     a korporátních archivačních procesech, stejně jako vztahy lidských bytostí, objevujících se v numerických    a jazykových kódovacích systémech. Mnohá z jeho děl se věnují konceptu bezpečnosti a estetice, kterou tento koncept produkuje. Grunwald pracuje s kresbou, nástěnnou malbou i multimediální instalací.

Vincent Grunwald draws from the deeply community-driven environment of Berlin’s graffiti and post-graffiti scene. His practice often explores the relationship between text and image. He closely examines narratives across the multiple layers on which society is structured. His work morphs codes of public and private institutions; shapes of identity within state and corporate archiving processes, as well as the relational presence of human beings as they appear in systems of numerical and linguistic coding. Many of his works address the concept of security and the aesthetic it produces. Grunwald works across drawing, mural painting, and multimedia installation.
