Slovy polského básníka Lechońa Nikita Krzyżanowska vstupuje do oblasti nevyslovitelného. Trvá snad jen obrazotvornost, která však nesměřuje k pouhému vyjádření niterného pohnutí. Pnutí mezi láskou a smrtí ústí v tvůrčí proces, který v duchu postvandalismu odkrývá estetiku destrukce. Středobodem výstavy Na wieczny smutek duszy, wieczna rozkosz ciała se stávají nejen velkoformátové symbolistické malby, ale v souladu s postvandalistickou praxí umělkyně využívá prostor jako místo pro site-specific tvorbu pomocí výtvarné techniky „fumage“.
Termín postvandalismus se v oblasti historie umění vyskytuje od 90. let, označuje však uměleckou praxi objevující se již v poválečném období. Existuje však crossover mezi vandalismem, graffiti a současným uměním v prostoru galerie? Jakým způsobem se zmíněné oblasti mohou v galerii prolínat, aniž by přenesená estetika vandalismu přišla o svůj pouliční charakter?
Společně s Nikitou Krzyżanowskou výstavu zahájí wroclawský tvůrce dark trapové hudby Weenaper.
Výstava probíhá v rámci společného projektu olomouckých nezávislých galerií XY 2024, Wroclaw v Olomouci: výstavy s procházkou / procházka vernisážemi.
Návštěvníci na procházce městem putují alternativními výstavními prostory a nezávislými galeriemi Olomouce a setkávají se s různorodými způsoby prezentace současného umění. Výstavy a instalace jsou často koncipovány jako site-specific, tedy jsou připravovány přímo na míru jednotlivým místům. Událost je specifická zejména svou atmosférou putovní akce – každý se může na potkání připojit a začlenit do průvodu návštěvníků.
Devátý ročník procházky je zaměřen na umělce spojené s Wroclawí, vernisáže, performance a koncerty proběhnou ve středu 26. června 2024.

Through the words of the Polish poet Lechoń, Nikita Krzyżanowska enters the realm of the unspeakable. Perhaps only imagery endures, but it doesn’t move towards the mere expression of an inner stirred inner emotions. The tension between love and death gives way to a process of creation that, in the spirit of post-vandalism, reveals an aesthetics of destruction. It is not only the large-format symbolist paintings that become the centrepiece of the exhibition Na wieczny smutek duszy, wieczna rozkosz ciała, but in line with the post-vandalist practices, the artist uses the space as a place for a site-specific work, using the artistic technique of “fumage”.
Though the term post-vandalism has been present in the field of art history of art since the 1990s, it refers to an artistic practice that emerged already in post-war art. But is there a crossover between vandalism, graffiti and contemporary art in the gallery space? In what ways can these areas intertwine in the gallery without the transposed aesthetics of vandalism losing its street character?
The Wrocław-based creator of dark trap music Weenaper will open the exhibition together with Nikita Krzyżanowska.
The exhibition is part of XY 2024: Wroclaw in Olomouc, joint project of independent galleries in Olomouc. The XY project, which was created in 2015 as a joint initiative of curators from Olomouc, offers exhibition hosting to authors from a selected artistic environment all on the same opening date. The travelling show has the character of a series of successive vernissages of contemporary art, all connected by a walk - the whole event takes place in one afternoon in the centre of Olomouc. Individual exhibitions then continue, the duration depending on the requirements of the galleries. The curators of the selected galleries have been representing the independent art scene in Olomouc for a long time, and within the framework of the XY show, they address professional as well as wide audience. The ninth year of the walk is focused on artists associated with Wroclaw.
The openings, perfomances and concerts will take place Wednesday 26th of June 2024.
