The 5th NSoRM will focus on following theme, viz., rural and inclusive finance; agricultural and rural marketing; rural livelihood issues; and the institutional aspects of                 rural management education. Indicative scope of the theme is as follows:

·         Rural and Inclusive Finance: Microfinance, Agriculture Finance, Value chain financing, Financial Institutions and Services, Small and Payment Banks, Financing small and microenterprises,

·         Agricultural and Rural Marketing: Social Marketing, Rural Distribution Systems, Products and Pricing in Rural Contexts, Agriculture Input Marketing, Agriculture Output Marketing, Rural to Urban, Rural to Rural.

·         Development and Rural Livelihoods: Social Entrepreneurship, ICTs & e-Governance for Development (including Digital India), National Rural Livelihood Mission, Perspectives on current development.

·         Rural Management Education and Profession – Institutional Perspectives: Scope of Professional Associations in RM, Status of RM education, Pedagogical challenges and innovations in RM education, Doctoral education in RM, RM as a choice for career.
