Logistics

1. How do I reach XIMB from airport/station?

XIMB ( www.ximb.ac.in)  is 20 minutes from both Bhubaneswar airport and railway station. From the airport, you will get taxis that would charge you around Rs. 250- 300. From the station, you could get both taxis (approx Rs. 250) and auto-rickshaws (Rs. 120- 150).

XIMB is located on the road to Loyola School, just before Fortune Towers in the Jaydev Vihar area of Bhubaneswar.

In case you are staying at XIMB , ask your driver to take you to MDC (Management Development Centre). The campus is a no-smoking zone and we appreciate your understanding. Provision stores are located within walking distance from the campus.

2. Where am I staying ?

Participants staying inside XIMB campus will be staying either in the MDC (Management Development Centre) or in the Studio Apartments. Both are located 50m from each other. On arrival, check at the  MDC reception for your room number as well as the keys. Billing, payment, pickup, drop- all will happen at the MDC Reception. All food for residents ( breakfast, dinner..) will be served in the MDC Dining Hall.

2. Is it possible to have travel arrangements arranged by XIMB?

We do not have a travel desk and hence could not help you with your travel arrangements. Sorry.

3. Is there anything I can do in the evenings ?

Autos are available outside the campus, should you like to go for shopping (check out ‘Unit 1 market building’) ! Please check the site of Orissa Tourism ( www.orissatourism.gov.in) if you plan to stay back after the conference and enjoy this beautiful state.

For the academically inclined, XIMB library is open 24 hours and has got a few computers for checking your e-mails. We are trying to put up a display of our CSR books. Check the ground floor reference room. Don’t forget to show your ID and registration card at the reception.

The campus cafe, X-cafe is a small and vibrant place serving hot and cold beverages and snacks.

Academic

a. Will my paper be published?

Selected papers will be invited (possibly by April 2012) for inclusion in an edited volume. This may require substantial revision depending on editorial requirements.

b. Will my presentation be published (for corporate presenters) ?

If you would like to develop your corporate project presentation to a full fledged research paper, we will be happy to hear from you ( sray@ximb.ac.in) and discuss possibilities.

d. When will the certificates be given? What happens if I decide to leave early?

Certificates will be given only on 11th February, Saturday, 2 pm onwards, in front of the XIMB auditorium. Should you decide to leave early, we will courier the certificate to you.  Please pay Rs. 50 as courier charges at the registration desk. Make sure your contact details are correct. Couriers should reach you by 10th March, 2012. Please note that TISS/XIMB will not be responsible for delays or loss in transit in such cases.
