Complaint Resolution

The DFS Ombudsman works to resolve client concerns or complaints about benefits, programs, staff and other issues. The Ombudsman also conducts legal and other research on state and federal laws governing child welfare, federal benefits and eligibility and on other topics as assigned by the DFS Director. The Ombudsman also acting as a hearing officer in benefit disqualification hearings.
