Motor Pool is responsible for the procurement, replacement, maintenance, and disposal of all vehicles owned by the Motor Pool Division.

It manages over 900 permanently assigned vehicles, along with a reservation pool of over 100 vehicles for use by state employees on a per trip basis.

Our goal is to make state travel as comfortable, safe, and easy as possible.

The Department of Administration and Information is pleased to partner with Verizon’s Networkfleet telematics system with the State of Wyoming.

The addition of telematics will make the most of state resources and fulfill our commitment to the public and the environment, as well as ensure the safety of our employees. Networkfleet can provide instant access to vehicle locations, engine diagnostics, and driver behavior patterns. A comprehensive view of the fleet will help reduce operational costs, improve vehicle and driver productivity, and integrate seamlessly with our existing AssetWorks fleet maintenance system. Some of the benefits that this software will provide the State of Wyoming are:

  • Improve Convenience & Reduce Costs with Roadside Assistance
  • Productivity
  • Enhance Safety & Reduce Liability
  • Reduce Costs & Fuel Consumption
  • Lower Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Telematics will be used by Risk Management and the Motor Pool sections of A&I General Services to monitor and improve overall fleet operations. The State Vehicle Use Policy has been updated to include policies for Electronic Tracking Technology, the blanket term for telematics and other vehicle performance monitoring.

We are confident the implementation of Verizon Networkfleet will enhance day-to-day fleet operations and help achieve long term goals to maximize state resources. I
