Ways to help in class

There are many ways that you can help in the classroom.  One of the most important things that you can do is to check your child's backpack every night.  We send home important notes in their take home folders as well as the work that they are doing in class.  Go over the classwork with your child and have them to explain to you what they have done that day.  Test folders go home every Tuesday night.  It is important that you look for these.  It will contain graded papers, important notes/notices, etc.

PLEASE let your child's teacher know if you would be interested in party planning!  This would be a HUGE help to the classroom.

We are always in need of things for students to do on a rainy day!  Inside recess can be a challenge.  If you are willing to donate some items to help with this, we would greatly appreciate it.
Play-Doh (no generic please...it is extremely sticky and hard to get off), cookie cutters, puzzles (50 pieces are great!), Connect 4, etc. are all wonderful things to have on hand.  Most of these items do not have to be new (except the play-doh of course).

Throughout the year we use many things in our room.  If you would like to donate something, these things would be greatly appreciated:

paper plates
plastic spoons and forks
baby wipes (easy clean up)
plastic placemats (for play-doh)
Mr. Clean Magic Erasers (generic is fine)
