Welcome and Thank You in advance for your help this year in making our program a success. It is only with your help that this program can work. Please read this document in its entirety and refer to it as needed. It will explain our expectations and your responsibilities for the season.

NOTE: Helmets are required!!

Waterbury/Duxbury Ski/Ride Program:

Stowe Requirements:

  1. School Program Instructors must attend a 1 day clinic on Decemeber 17th or 18th at a cost of $45.

  2. The $45 clinic fee includes lift access for those who need it. The Instructor Clinic includes an on-snow session and an indoor session discussing safety, AAA’s, Your Responsibility Code, Smart Style, etc.

  3. Attendees must sign in at the Stowe Mountain Resort from 7:30-8:30 am.

  4. Pay in advance! Signing up in advance will save you lots of time on Clinic Day. Call Stowe Mountain Resort at 802-253-3681 to sign up and pay your clinic fee by credit card.

  5. You will be asked to provide the following information: 11 digit code on your Evolution Stowe Card (3 letters followed by 8 numbers). Date of clinic participation: TBD, School or Town affiliation and Ski or Snowboard Skill Level of 1-9. (1 = beginner and 9 = all terrain/all conditions on Mt Mansfield.)

  6. New – ESC required: Like everyone else on the mountain, each school  program instructor must carry an Evolution Stowe Card (ESC). An ESC can be purchased at the Season Pass Desk for $5.00 prior to the start of the program. If you forget or lose your ESC, you will need to purchase a new one for $5.00. Evolution Stowe Cards are non refundable. Keep your ESC and use it season after season.

  7. Those who do not sign up and pay in advance will have to go to the Ski & Snowboard School desk in Spruce Camp on Clinic Day to process the clinic fee. This is a very busy weekend at the resort and non-paid candidates can expect to wait in line.

  8. The greater the compliance with this new advanced sale procedure, the smoother things will go on clinic day. More details will follow.

Clinic Day: NEW - Volunteers are required to stay for the entire day for the clinic so please plan accordingly.

  1. Check in is at Stowe Mountain Resort at Midway Lodge from 7:30-8:30. Paid candidates will be handed a lesson coupon as proof of purchase. Candidates will not be able to join a group without their lesson coupon.

  2. The candidates will give the lesson coupon to their Stowe Ski & Snowboard School Instructor.

  3. Instructor passes are only good on program days. Attempted use of the pass on days other than as defined in the above schedules will result in loss of the pass for the remainder of the season.

  4. For each afternoon worked, program instructors will earn a 2017 day ticket voucher (not valid Jan 16, Feb 20-24 or any Saturdays thru Mar 28).

  5. Instructors are to use the School/Town Coordinator as their contact and should not call SMR directly.
