Book Club

Do you enjoy reading but sometimes run out of ideas about what to read next?

Maybe you would like to read more but somehow you just never get round to it. Or perhaps you have just read a book that you enjoyed so much you want to tell others about it.

If so, Woodford Book Club could be just for you.

Woodford Book Club is an informal group that meets (roughly) every month to discuss a wide range of books. Each month we will pick a book to read in advance of the next meeting, but it doesn't matter if you don’t read it and you don’t have to come to every meeting. We’re not into scholarly analysis, and you don’t have to have an opinion on everything, but if you do have an opinion, it won’t be wrong.

Tea, coffee and possibly something stronger will be available. So if you like reading and would enjoy sharing the experience, come along!

We meet on selected Wednesdays at 8.00pm in Woodford Village Hall.  We often have library copies that you can borrow, so please get in touch with Alison Burrows at or phone 01722 782 595 (evenings and week-ends) to get involved.

The date of the meeting can usually be seen online on the Village Hall calendar, or just phone up to find out!
