Putney, VT Home Page  Putney is a great place to live and work. Innovative schools have flourished here; the arts have found a home here; our artisans produce some of Vermont's most beautiful crafts. Sackett's Brook, which once turned a dozen water wheels on its boisterous descent to the Connecticut River, flows through our campus, and continues on through the heart of the village where you'll find an eclectic collection of shops, inns, and gourmet delights. From there, Putney's back roads lead to unspoiled country made for hiking, biking, and X-C skiing. We invite you to explore this site with links to many of our local crafts people, the Putney Craft Tour and the Discover Putney List Serve.

Windham Southeast Supervisory Union (WSESU)  The Windham Southeast Supervisory Union has the administrative responsibility for the town school districts in our region, as well as all public schools and affiliated programs in Brattleboro proper.  General oversight of the Supervisory Union falls to the Superintendent, Ron Stahley, who is appointed by the local school boards. Each of our towns (Brattleboro, Dummerston, Guilford, Putney and Vernon) constitutes a school district with an elected board that establishes policy and presents the annual spending plan to the voters for approval. Each town, with the support of its board, the district business manager, and the superintendent, develops an annual budget, which is reviewed and approved at Town Meeting, held each March.

VT Agency of Education  Working under the authority of the State Board of Education, the VTAOEis committed to helping students, educators, and public schools meet Vermont’s high standards. The site provides information about the VAOE’s programs, services, and initiatives. A bit challenging to navigate at times, but perseverance usually pays off.
