YES Abroad scholarship
A chance to live and study abroad in the next academic year. The application deadline is Wednesday, January 10th.

YES Abroad scholarships, funded by the U.S. State Department, will be awarded to 55 American students to live with host families and attend high school in Bosnia, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Mali (semester only), Malaysia, Morocco, Oman, Thailand, Tunisia, and Turkey. The scholarship covers expenses for program fees, pre-departure and arrival orientations in Washington DC, health insurance, and a monthly stipend, and ensure careful placement with host families who are eager to share their culture with the students. Upon their return the students will apply their leadership skills in the United States through community service activities.

Students who apply must be:
• U.S. citizens
• High school students at the time of application
• Aged 15 – 18 1/2 at the start of the program (born between 9/15/94 and 6/15/98)
