WRHS Wilderness Club

The view from the top of Mt. Cardigan

Who We Are
We are a group of staff and students who go on trips that connect us to life outdoors. We are not a set club, meaning anyone who wants to go on these trips may, they just have to fill out the required paperwork. Some of the trips that we have gone on include: Hiking Mt. Cardigan, Mt. Greylock, and Mt. Sunapee.

A lot of students have said that they often go hiking, but then are surprised by the trips we take. They say things like "I haven't been hiking like this before." That's our goal - to give you an experience like you might not have had in the past. We always hike to a destination - typically a summit with really cool views, or to places like waterfalls. Because you live so close to some mountains, we try to take you further away - like the White Mountains of New Hampshire or The Berkshires. Whether you're an avid hiker, or somebody who has never put on a pair of hiking boots, we want to give you a great experience.

What's that? You don't have any gear for the trips? No worries! All the gear can be provided for you if needed! A lack of gear is no excuse to miss out on an outdoor adventure! Simply fill out the required permission slips for the trip you're interested in. Permission slips include gear request forms. Paperwork for each trip can either be found in Guidance, outside of Mr. Krol's office, or on the "Our Next Trip" section of this website!

As we go on more trips and get more established in the WRHS Community, we expect that this site will continue to grow as well. We'll post more pictures and other cool stuff.

For now - take a look at the "Past Trips" page and see where we're going next on the "Our Next Trip" page.
