Let's start our day off on the right foot with a brief meeting focusing on Social and Emotional Learning. We will greet one another, engage in a share routine, establish remote learning norms, and have a little fun with an educational or engaging activity! (20 minutes)

During our math block, Mrs. Halloran will deliver a 25-30 minute focus lesson and then you will enjoy independent practice and/or center rotations daily to practice your math skills. (45 minutes) 

You will have a 45 minute special daily. The schedule will change each quarter.

This is a great time to eat an optional snack, stretch your legs, or take a bathroom break! (10 minutes) Please bring in a quick and healthy snack for an energy boost. 

Finish up Math Exit Tickets/Centers & make progress on ST MATH! 

This time will be begin with our study of words (grammar, vocabulary, parts of speech etc.) During the writing portion of this block, we will be applying our knowledge of words to practice and improve upon our writing skills. We will write informative, opinion, and narrative pieces this year! (25 minutes) This block also include a read aloud time to enjoy literature together! 

Students will enjoy 30 minutes for recess and then 30 minutes for lunch. We will go outside whenever possible. Please dress according to the daily weather.

During this block, we will study words and parts of words and improve upon our phonics and spelling skills. We will also study parts of a sentence and learn parts of speech to improve our writing and oral communication skills. 

This block will be devoted to a 25-30 minute whole class direct instruction ELA lesson together. Then, you will have time to complete our ELA center rotations. (45 minutes)

We will explore many interesting topics in Science and Social Studies this year such as immigration and rocks and minerals. I know you will enjoy our mystery science lessons and social studies projects! (40 minutes)
