A REMINDER TO 4th GRADE PARENTS If you have yet done so, would you please send me in a current physical for your 4th grade child? This is a state requirement for admission to the 5th grade. Physicals done after June 1, 2013 are acceptable. After your child’s primary care physician performs this exam please forward it to me at your child’s school. If you have the required paperwork at home please send it in as soon as possible. Please remember — A copy of a physical must be on file for your child to enter grade 5 at the Galvin Middle School in September. |

"The most precious jewels you'll ever have around your neck are the arms of your children.”
A reminder to families that next Wednesday March 26th and Wednesday April 2nd will be Early Release days for students. By now, most families should have received a scheduled for parent teacher conferences on one of the two early release days. IMPORTANT MCAS DATES Grade 4 Long Composition Make-up: Thursday March 27, 2013 Grade 4 English/Language Arts MCAS: Monday and Tuesday March 24th and 25th. MCAS tests are untimed and students will generally be tested each day beginning at 9:00 a.m. Because we must maintain proper testing protocol at all times, students who are tardy will not be able to join their classmates during the testing period and will have to take a make-up test at the end of the testing week. We ask that parents do not make doctor, dentist appointments etc… during these testing dates. It is also important that your child be well rested each day and arrives at school with adequate nourishment. Testing is a demanding activity and children need to be physically ready as well as academically ready to do their best. Have a wonderful week! Regards, Deb Collura |
